Summary

Machine-generated summary

The Bundesanstalt für Straßen- und Verkehrswesen awarded a research contract for the development of a concept for emergency power supply at road maintenance depots. Battery storage and emergency generators will be assessed for reliability, cost efficiency, operability and CO2 emissions, covering charging of electric winter service vehicles, heating and workshop operation for at least 72 hours. The winner is Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft zur Förderung der angewandten Forschung e.V. with its institutes ISI (lead) and ICT. The contract is worth EUR 168,067.23 against an estimated value of EUR 168,067.23.
