The Aperlena Verdict

Open race

No supplier dominates: 49 different companies have won the last 58 comparable contracts from this buyer over 5 years. This is a genuinely open race.

Based on 58 comparable awards by this buyer in this sector over 5 years. Every verdict is recorded before the outcome and graded against the award notice. How we score ourselves.

Summary

Machine-generated summary

The contracting authority is procuring a research and development service to investigate the causes of early cracking in asphalt surface courses on newly built or structurally renewed sections of the federal trunk road network. Recent condition surveys show a significant increase in cracking in several federal states, including on sections with a short service life, and technical causes are suspected. The study should identify the main causes, derive preventive measures and feed the findings into the update of the relevant technical standards and rules.

Description

Expected award price

likely award for this notice, from its published estimate of €252,101
€249,580 to €252,101

This buyer's comparable awards in this sector came in at a median of 99% of their published estimate, half of them between 99% and 100%, based on 8 awards of the last 3 years.

Each award is compared with the estimate of the same lots, framework agreements excluded. A published estimate may include options and renewals, so an award under it is not always a discount.
