Who we are
Aperlena.com is operated by Albert Rojo Mateu (NIF 47719341E), Barcelona, Spain - the data controller for the processing described here. Contact: hello@aperlena.com. This policy explains what personal data we process, why, and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Data we process when you browse
Our servers keep standard technical logs (IP address, browser, pages requested, timestamps) for security and error diagnosis. They are kept for a limited time and are not used to profile you. We use a strictly necessary session cookie to make the site work; it is not used for tracking. The cookies Google sets for advertising and analytics are described in the sections below.
Your account and the emails we send
If you create an account we store the first name, surname(s) and email address you give us, your saved searches and the tenders you save, so that the account works and we can send the alerts you ask for. If you subscribe to the weekly digest without an account, we store only your email address, the language you read in and the country or sector you chose, and we use them for nothing but that email. If you follow a CPV code without an account, we store your email address, the language you read in, and the codes, countries and frequency you chose, and use them for nothing but those alerts. An alert you do not confirm within seven days is deleted, and so is the address once it follows nothing. All of them are confirmed by a link sent to the address, and all can be ended at any time: delete the account from your settings, or use the unsubscribe link at the foot of any email. We delete the address as soon as you do. We never sell or share these addresses, and we send no marketing beyond the alerts and digests you asked for.
Messages you send us
If you write to us through the contact form, we keep your name (if you give it), your email address and your message to answer you, for up to two years, and then delete them; messages filed as spam go after thirty days. We use them for nothing else.
Personal data inside tender notices
Tender notices are official public documents and may legally include the names and contact details of public-body staff. We display them exactly as published by the official source and never enrich or profile individuals. If you are affected and want data removed, write to hello@aperlena.com and we will handle your request under Article 17 GDPR.
Advertising
Aperlena shows ads served by Google AdSense, a service of Google Ireland Limited (publisher ID ca-pub-4513371386499405). Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or to other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet. Other ad vendors and networks that take part in the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework may also serve ads here with their own cookies; the consent tool described below names each of them, with its purposes. Google explains how it uses information from the sites that show its ads in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Consent and opting out
If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Google's certified consent tool (IAB TCF) asks for your choice, and personalised ads are shown only if you consent to them. If you do not, the ads you see are not personalised: Google chooses them from the content of the page and your approximate location, not from your browsing history, and, where you allow it, may still use cookies to limit how often an ad is shown, to report on ads in aggregate and to prevent fraud. The tool keeps your choice on your device so that it does not ask on every page, and you can review or withdraw your consent at any time through the "Privacy and cookie settings" link at the foot of the site's pages. The link appears once Google's tool has loaded, and not on this privacy policy, which does not load the tool. Wherever you are, you can opt out of personalised advertising in Google's Ads Settings, and opt out of the use of cookies for personalised advertising by many third-party vendors at www.aboutads.info.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.) to understand how the site is used, in aggregate form only. It is governed by the same Google consent tool as the ads, through Google Consent Mode v2: in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, analytics cookies are stored only if you consent to them in that tool, and you can change your choice at any time through the same "Privacy and cookie settings" link.
Session replays and heatmaps (Microsoft Clarity)
We also use Microsoft Clarity, a service of Microsoft Corporation, to see how our pages are used: where visitors click and scroll, shown as heatmaps, and replays of individual visits, so that we can find and fix what is confusing or broken. Clarity sets cookies and collects usage data such as the pages viewed, clicks and scrolling, the device and browser, and an approximate location derived from the IP address. What you type into form fields is masked, and Clarity does not run on the account and sign-in pages or on this privacy policy. It is governed by the same Google consent tool as Google Analytics: in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Clarity loads only if you consent to analytics in that tool, and you can change your choice at any time through the same "Privacy and cookie settings" link. Microsoft may process this data in the United States, under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. How Microsoft uses it is explained in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Your rights
You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability of your personal data, and object to processing, by writing to hello@aperlena.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your data-protection authority (in Spain, the AEPD).
Changes
We will update this policy as the service evolves and indicate the date of the latest revision above.
