The Aperlena Verdict

Open race

No supplier dominates: 20 different companies have won the last 21 comparable contracts from this buyer over 5 years. This is a genuinely open race.

Based on 21 comparable awards by this buyer in this sector over 5 years. Every verdict is recorded before the outcome and graded against the award notice. How we score ourselves.

Summary

Machine-generated summary

The buyer is procuring a research project on subjective safety at small railway stations in Germany. The project will collect objective and subjective data, including field studies and experiments, to build an evidence-based model explaining how people feel safe at small stations, where little data exists and avoidance is increasing. The results should prioritise measures that most improve the feeling of safety, noting that subjective safety differs from objective safety. The contracting authority is the DZSF (Digitalisation Centre of the Federal Railway Authority area) in Germany.

Description

Expected award price

likely award for this notice, from its published estimate of €587,929
€558,532 to €587,929

Comparable awards in this country and sector came in at a median of 99% of their published estimate, half of them between 95% and 100%, based on 63 awards of the last 3 years.

Each award is compared with the estimate of the same lots, framework agreements excluded. A published estimate may include options and renewals, so an award under it is not always a discount.
