Our aim
Aperlena aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, so that people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification or voice control can find and read every public tender as easily as anyone else.
How far we are
The site partially meets WCAG 2.2 AA. The pages are built from semantic HTML with a single heading outline, every control can be reached and used with the keyboard and shows where the focus is, text and controls keep a contrast of at least 4.5 to 1, layouts reflow to a phone width without horizontal scrolling, and the site follows the reduced-motion setting of your device.
What is not accessible yet
Charts carry a text equivalent, but some large tables of figures are hard to follow with a screen reader on a phone. The official notices and tender documents we link to are published by the buyers and their portals, often as PDF files we cannot change; their accessibility is theirs. Titles and summaries translated by software can contain wording errors.
How we check
On every release we run automated WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 checks (axe-core) on each main type of page, at phone and desktop width, and Lighthouse's accessibility audit; anything serious or critical is fixed before it is published. We also check keyboard navigation and focus by hand. This statement was prepared on 11 October 2026 from those checks.
