Summary

Machine-generated summary

The Eisenbahn-Bundesamt awarded a research contract concerning automated monitoring of maintenance-relevant parameters in rail freight transport. The project derives concrete technical requirements for condition monitoring of freight wagons from the many existing requirements for inspection and maintenance measures. The aim is a portfolio of evaluated individual solutions that defines the requirements and added value of condition monitoring in individual maintenance areas and serves as a basis for concepts of reduced-effort, partially automated maintenance. The contract was awarded to DB Systemtechnik GmbH on 2026-09-21 for EUR 305,578, which is 9% below the estimated value of EUR 336,302.28.
