Summary

Machine-generated summary

Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Universitaet Hannover procured GPU and CPU computing power for the project 'EU-SAI' to train a large language model with at least 100 billion parameters on at least 12 trillion tokens. The binding minimum requirement was 3,133 x 10^25 FLOPs, roughly 8.8 million GPU hours on an NVIDIA H100, plus 7.5 million CPU core hours. Only NVIDIA GPUs (H100, H200, B100, B200 or GB200) were permitted, and training was to be completed within 8 to 10 months. The state-funded project runs until 30 June 2026. The contract was awarded to T-Systems International GmbH.
