Summary

Machine-generated summary

The City of Offenburg is procuring engineering design services under German HOAI fee law for the reactivation of water flow and the renovation of the Raederbach and canal structures. The works cover engineering structures design service phases 3 to 9 and structural engineering phases 1 to 6. The roughly 500 m long island between the Offenburg mill canal and the Raederbach will be a central element of the 2022 State Garden Show... actually the 2032 State Garden Show in Offenburg. The historic weir is out of operation, the Raederbach is silted up with reduced flow, and historic bank reinforcements and canal walls are damaged and must be checked for structural stability. As the canal works are considered heritage significant, banks and walls are to be renovated, secured or conserved section by section, and a new canal cross section created.
