The city of Offenburg is procuring public passenger transport services for the local bus route bundle 'Offenburg Stadt'. The bundle covers nine urban bus routes (lines 501 to 509) linking districts such as Altenburger Allee, Zell-Weierbach, Weier, Griesheim, Elgersweier, Windschlaeg, Bohlsbach and Fessenbach with the main station and central areas, including connections to the Ortenau Klinikum, the Offenburg trade fair, the county administration office and the university. From 1 January 2031 at the latest, only electric buses may be used. The operator must provide charging infrastructure for battery buses and grant the city the option to use it for a further 10 years after the end of the transport contract.
