Summary

Machine-generated summary

The City of Bonn is procuring planning services for upgrading the signal-controlled road junction B56 / L83 / Bundesgrenzschutzstrasse in Bonn. The junction can no longer handle today's traffic volumes, and its capacity must be proven to allow the nearby residential and technology park II to be developed. Planning aims to achieve plan approval through a plan establishment procedure or, where conditions allow, a planning permit. Component a covers upgrading the junction, including pedestrian and cycling facilities, to reach at least quality level D for forecast traffic, with possibly a fictitious design. Component b covers roughly 230 metres of adaptation stretch to the already four-lane B56 section. Optional component c is planning a grade-free crossing for cyclists using a tunnel variant, and optional component d is a fictitious design a- exploring a cheaper variant without park traffic.
