Die Betuwe-Linie ist in NL bereits fertiggestellt und wird in DEU als ABS Grenze NL/D - Emmerich - Oberhausen ausgebaut. Die Machbarkeitsstudie (MBS) soll dazu dienen, die Auswirkungen einer von einer Bürgerinitiative vorgeschlagen Verlegung der Trassenführung ("Optimierte Gleisbettvariante") gegenüber der bisherigen Planung, hauptsächlich in Bezug auf Verzögerungen und Mehrkosten, zu bewerten. Hinsichtlich der Kosten ist u.a. zu prüfen, ob alle relevanten Kosten in der MBS "Optimierte Gleisbettvariante" berücksichtigt wurden. Dies betrifft beispielsweise auch die Planungskosten. Außerdem muss geprüft werden, ob die vorgeschlagene Variante nach geltendem Recht umsetzbar ist. Dies beinhaltet beispielsweise die einschlägigen Regelungen auf Bundes- sowie Landesebene (insbesondere B8 sowie L472) als auch Beeinträchtigungen Dritter, beispielsweise durch notwendigen Grunderwerb, Natur, Wasser etc.. **** Weitere Informationen sind den elektronisch bereitgestellten Vergabeunterlagen zu entnehmen.
