Summary

Machine-generated summary

Guildford Borough Council invites expressions of interest from Design and Build contractors for the refurbishment of Lysons Enterprise Estate, 19 light industrial units built in the 1980s at Guildford that need significant upgrading. The works cover 15 self-contained units arranged in three terraces with steel frame construction and profiled steel sheeting, totalling around 1,148 sq m gross internal area on a 4,611 sq m site. The units currently fail Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards, and the Council seeks upgrading to meet occupier requirements, comply with MEES and achieve an EPC rating of 'A'. Procurement follows a two-stage Design and Build route: Stage 1 under a Pre-Construction Services Agreement, then a Stage 2 Design and Build contract where the contractor completes design and delivers the works.
