Moorfields Rail Passenger Movement Study

Merseytravel has awarded a contract for the Moorfields Rail Passenger Movement Study. The supplier, Touchstone Partners Limited, must carry out a study assessing where rail passengers travel from and to, current passenger flows and future demand. The work includes a methodology report before surveys are completed, covering the survey approach, locations and questions, plus data on current passenger demand, a future forecasting log for station usage, origin-destination distribution heatmaps and internal flow and vertical circulation data. Findings will be combined into a Rail Passenger Movement Report to help inform option generation. A multi-disciplinary team is required to suggest ways to improve passenger movement across the city region.
