Highway Structures Major Works - Framework 2027

Somerset Council has published a preliminary market notice to start market engagement for its major works highway structures framework. The Authority seeks suppliers with expertise in delivering similar works and will present its proposed approach and procurement process. The works will be delivered under a bespoke framework agreement, with task orders issued using the NEC4 Engineering and Construction Contract Option A. The evaluation will use the Cow Bridge scheme as a test case: the most economically advantageous tender will be awarded both the framework and the Cow Bridge scheme, while the next three ranked bidders will be awarded the framework. Quality questions will form part of the evaluation.
