Die Stiftung Luthergedenkstätten in Sachsen-Anhalt saniert das Lutherhaus in der Lu therstadt Wittenberg. Das Vorhaben wird durch den Beauftragten der Bundesregie rung für Kultur und Medien (BKM) mit Fördermitteln des Bundes sowie durch die Staatskanzlei und das Ministerium für Kultur des Landes Sachsen-Anhalt finanziert. Die Sanierungsmaßnahme zielt auf eine energetische Sanierung und die Verbesserung der touristischen Erschließung. Das Wittenberger Lutherhaus beherbergt das weltweit größte reformationsgeschicht liche Museum mit umfangreichen Sammlungen von Bildern, Schriften und Exponaten der Reformationszeit sowie Zeugnissen der Rezeptionsgeschichte zu Martin Luther und zur Reformation. Im Zusammenhang mit der energetischen Sanierung und touristischen Erschließung werden die Dauerausstellung neu konzipiert und die Ausstellungsräume neugestaltet. Das schließt den Eingangsbereich für Besucher des Lutherhauses ein. Dieser Ein gangsbereich ist das „Wettbewerbsgebiet“. Für den Eingangsbereich lobt die Stiftung Luthergedenkstätten in Sachsen-Anhalt als Bauherr einen Realisierungswettbewerb für Kunst am Bau aus. Zweck des Wettbewerbes Kunst am Bau ist eine gerechte Findung der besten Lösung für ein zeitgemäßes künstlerisches Projekt in der Eingangshalle des neu gestalteten Museums Lutherhaus. Die Umsetzung des künstlerischen Projektes im Lutherhaus kann gemäß Bauablaufplan im 2. Quartal 2027 erfolgen und soll bis zum 30.06.2027 abgeschlossen werden. Die Auslobung des Wettbewerbes folgt den Vorgaben des Bundesministeriums für Wohnen, Stadtentwicklung und Bauwesen. (siehe: Verbindliche Vorgaben zu Kunst am Bau, Baupolitische und baukulturelle Vorhaben und Standardsetzungen für den Bundesbau, Stand 07/2024 - BMWSB, BI5-71017/16#3) und orientiert sich an der Richtlinie für Planungswettbewerbe (RPW 2013).
