A market exploration showed no full gigabit coverage is available or expected within coming years, so the municipality has obtained federal and Bavarian grant funding to pass on to a telecommunications company as investment aid for building and operating the network. The project area covers about 32.14 km2 with around 1,816 inhabitants, 609 residential buildings, 716 apartments, 37 businesses and 12 farms.
