Summary

Machine-generated summary

Universitätsmedizin Göttingen (UMG), Stiftung Öffentlichen Rechts, awarded a contract for research and development services in packaging development up to a functional prototype of an implantable optical stimulator. The work supports the Else Kröner Fresenius Centre for Optogenetic Therapies (Light2Treat EKFZ), which aims to make optogenetics usable for clinical medicine. The centre plans four therapies: optogenetic cochlear implants, retinal stimulation, a gastric pacemaker and brain computer interfaces for patients with deafness, blindness, gastroparesis or motor deficits. The awarded contract value was EUR 840,100 and the contract has been awarded.
