Summary

Machine-generated summary

The Federal Highway Research Institute (BASt), an agency of the German Federal Ministry of Transport, is procuring a large-scale research and survey service for the 'Mobility in Germany 2028' study. It involves a nationwide representative survey of at least 35,000 private households and 70,000 persons during calendar year 2028, covering travel behaviour, mode use, routes and trip purposes. The study builds on previous surveys from 2002 to 2023 and adds innovations such as smartphone tracking and better inclusion of underrepresented groups, with regional subsamples of up to 175,000 households.
