Nexus is establishing a Bus Services Framework to support future procurement of a wide range of bus and passenger transport services, including secured local bus services, schools and works transport, group travel, seasonal services, Metro replacement services, and other operational or emergency transport requirements. The framework is a closed agreement for an initial three-year period, extendable by up to 24 months, with an estimated total value of up to 200 million pounds over five years. Nexus currently spends around 20 million pounds per year on bus contracts. Suppliers able to deliver these transport services may bid under the framework procedure.
