WEEKLY - Pick up any litter in the cemetery & car park and empty all bins.

APRIL - SEPTEMBER: Weekly mowing of the cemetery & strimming around the headstones.

AUTUMN - clear and remove the leaves
MONTLY TASKS:
Clear all weeds and remove all debris from the hornbeam hedge between the established and new areas of the cemetery.
Clear underneath the trees along the Western boundary removing all weeds, leaves & debris.
Clear all weeds and remove all debris from the hedge along the western, eastern & southern boundaries
OCTOBER - MARCH: Maintain a tidy appearance of all the grass areas, cutting & strimming as per the maintenance contract.
The levelling of graves as needed and to include the supplying of top soil and seed.
YEARLY TASKS -
Once a year between March - April: Cut path edges in line with natural boundaries & pathways.
Twice a year - in Spring & Autumn - keep the car park, cemetery entrance and pathways clear of weeds with a compliant weed killer.
Once a year between July & August: Cut back all holly hedges - top and side - on the northern & eastern boundaries. Hedges to be cut & kept at 6ft and all clippings removed.
Once a year between July & August: Trim the top & sides of the Queens hedge. Hedge to be cut & kept at 6ft. All clippings to be removed.
Once a year between July & August: Trim the top & sides of the hedge along the western, eastern & southern boundaries. Hedge to be cut & kept at 6ft. All clippings to be removed.
Twice a year - in Spring & Autumn - build up and/or level surfaces. Repair or replace turf as necessary.
Once a year in Spring (or when required) - clean and apply teak oil to the benches.
• The contractor to provide their own machinery and tools.
• All arisings to be removed from the Cemetery immediately.
• The contractor must hold the relevant insurances required for works to public grounds and for their own staff.
• The contractor to take all necessary measures to comply with the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and any other acts, orders, regulations and codes of practice relating to health and safety which may apply.
• The contractor to notify the Administrator immediately in the event of any incident occurring on the Burial Ground where that incident causes any personal injury or damage to property.
• The contractor to advise the Administrator of difficulties in completing any part of the specification.
• The contractor must be prepared to meet the Administrator/Councillors on site to discuss any issues they may have.
