Entsorgung + Recycling Zürich (ERZ) möchte ein neues, interaktives Bildungszentrum mit Fokus auf die Themen Kreislaufwirtschaft und Gewässerschutz am Standort Hagenholz realisieren. Das Bildungszentrum (Arbeitstitel) soll aufzeigen und erlebbar machen, was ERZ insgesamt für die Stadt Zürich und im Besonderen in den Bereichen Umwelt, Kreislaufwirtschaft und Gewässerschutz leistet. Der Fokus soll darauf liegen, den Besucher*innen praxisorientiertes Wissen zu vermitteln und Verhaltensänderungen in den Bereichen Abfall / Kreislaufwirtschaft und Gewässerschutz anzuregen. Das Grobkonzept sieht ein interaktives, modernes und modular anpassbares Bildungszentrum vor. Der eine Teil des Bildungszentrums (Erdgeschoss) soll als Stadtspaziergang gestaltet werden. Darin werden die vielfältigen Leistungen von ERZ für ein lebenswertes Zürich aufgezeigt und Wissen rund um Kreislaufwirtschaft, Regenwassermanagement und Gewässerschutz vermittelt. Der zweite Teil (Obergeschoss) leitet die Besuchenden durch eine beispielhafte Stadtzürcher Wohnung und zeigt auf, welchen Handlungsspielraum die Besuchenden selbst haben, um zu einem lebenswerten Zürich beizutragen. Dadurch wird der Wissenstransfer zur Lebensrealität der Besuchenden sichergestellt und somit auch eine potenzielle Verhaltensänderung im Alltag begünstigt. Das Konzept ist modular angedacht, Stationen auf dem Stadtspaziergang und in der Wohnung können bei Bedarf angepasst oder ausgetauscht werden. Informationen rund um aktuelle ERZ-Projekte lassen sich einfach und rasch aktualisieren. Die Stationen sind selbsterklärend, es braucht keine Führung. Virtuelle Personen («Companions») begleiten die Besuchenden durch die Ausstellung. Die Ausstellung wird in bestehenden Räumlichkeiten am Standort Hagenholz umgesetzt. Es bedarf eines Rückbaus der aktuellen Einrichtung, bestimmter Wände und Bodenaufbauten, Anpassungen am Eingang sowie neuer Geländer, damit die Räumlichkeiten in der Form zur Verfügung stehen, wie es für den Innenausbau der Ausstellung erforderlich ist. Dieser Rückbau ist nicht Teil dieser Submission, sondern wird durch ein von ERZ beauftragtes Architekturbüro geplant und ausgeführt, welches auch die Baubewilligung einholen wird.
