Description

Im Rahmen der ESA-Mission Next Generation Gravity Mission (NGGM) entwickelt das Max- Planck-Institut für Gravitationsphysik (Albert-Einstein-Institut, AEI) wesentliche Beiträge zum Laser Tracking Instrument (LTI). Ein zentrales Subsystem des LTI ist die Instrument Control Unit (ICU), die als Steuer- und Datenverarbeitungseinheit der Nutzlast die Echtzeit-Signalverarbeitung (Phasemeter-Funktion), Regelungs- und Betriebslogik sowie die Schnittstellenkommunikation zu weiteren On-Board-Systemen realisiert. Die ICU stellt damit ein mission-kritisches, komplexes cyber- physisches System dar, dessen Funktionsfähigkeit und Performance unmittelbar die Zielerreichung des Instruments und damit der Mission beeinflusst. Es handelt sich voraussichtlich um eine 2-jährige Unterstützung.
