Die Stellwerkstechnik, die auf der Strecke 3010 von km 37,680 bis zum km 53,880 vorhanden ist, ist abgängig und soll durch die neue DSTW-Technik ersetzt werden. Im Bereich der Erweiterung der 1. Baustufe im DSTW Koblenz - Trier liegen die Betriebsstellen Hp Pommern, Hp Klotten, Bf Cochem und der Bft Ediger-Eller an der zweigleisigen, elektrifizierten Hauptbahn 3010. Die Erweiterungsstufe der ersten Baustufe ist Teil des Vorserienprojektes des DSTW Koblenz-Trier und wird gemeinsam mit der ersten Baustufe im Dezember 2029 in Betrieb genommen. Im Rahmen des bundesweiten Rollouts der Digitalen Stellwerktechnik (DSTW) wird auf der Strecke 3010 im Abschnitt zwischen km 37,680 und km 53,880 die bestehende, abgängige Stellwerkstechnik durch moderne DSTW-Technologie ersetzt. Die Umsetzung erfolgt im Zuge der Erweiterung der ersten Baustufe des Vorserienprojekts DSTW Koblenz-Trier (DSTW KoTr). Der Technikstandort bzw. der Bedienstandort befinden sich am Bahnhof Wittlich (im Bereich der ersten Baustufe). Die Stelleinheiten für die Betriebsstellen in Treis-Karden, Cochem und der freien Strecke von Cochem und Bullay erfolgt durch die Gleisfeldkonzentratoren in den jeweiligen Betriebsstellen. Projektumfang und Lage Der Projektbereich erstreckt sich entlang der zweigleisigen, elektrifizierten Hauptstrecke 3010 zwischen den Betriebsstellen: Haltepunkt Pommern Haltepunkt Klotten Bahnhof Cochem (SP Dr S60) Bahnhofsteil Ediger-Eller Bahnhof Treis-Karde (Dr S2) Bestandteil des Projektgebiets sind: Die bestehenden Bahnhöfe Cochem und Treis-Karden Der Kaiser-Wilhelm-Tunnel Insgesamt fünf Bahnübergänge, die im Rahmen der DSTW-Integration neu angebunden bzw. angepasst werden müssen. Der technische Ausrüster ist Hitachi Rail (ehemals Thales), der bereits im Rahmen der ersten Baustufe mit der Ausrüstung beauftragt wurde. Die Erweiterungsmaßnahme wird parallel zur ersten Baustufe geplant und in Betrieb genommen, um eine durchgängige, technisch abgestimmte Inbetriebnahme der Gesamtstrecke zu gewährleisten. Zielsetzung Ziel des Projekts ist die vollständige Migration der veralteten Stellwerkstechnik auf DSTW-Technologie. Dies umfasst: Digitale Stellwerkskomponenten Zentralisierte Steuerung Sicherung der betrieblichen Abläufe durch moderne Schnittstellen zu Nachbarprojekten und angrenzenden Abschnitten Die Steuerung der Betriebsstellen Cochem und Treis-Karden sowie der freien Strecke zwischen Bullay und Cochem erfolgt über dem BSO in Wittlich ( liegt im Bereich der ersten Baustufe).
