The City of Helsinki plans the renovation and extension of Laajasalo comprehensive school, a 1971 building by architect Erkki Karvinen in Helsinki, Finland. Works include functional and technical modernisation, updated building services, improved energy efficiency, repaired facades, a new roof covering, replacement windows, repair of moisture damage and a new drainage system, plus timber-structured extensions. The gross floor area is about 12,000 brm2. The contract will be procured through a negotiated procedure with short interviews and written tasks. Procurement of the project management contractor runs from 08/2026 to 02/2027, construction from 06/2027 to 05/2029, with use starting 06/2029.
