The Aperlena Verdict

Narrow field

DMT GmbH & Co. KG; Wolfgang Kessler, geophysics&more leads with 50% of the last 4 comparable contracts, but 3 different suppliers have won here in 5 years. Worth a serious look.

Summary

Machine-generated summary

The buyer plans an approximately 16 km long 2D pilot seismic survey in the city of Moenchengladbach, expected in November or December 2026, as part of the Exploration and Drilling Programme 2024-2028 and in coordination with the client MWIKE NRW. The aim is to image and locate Palaeozoic carbonates near the Viersen fault to a target depth of about 2,000 to 2,500 m, providing a basis for planning the research drilling foreseen for 2028. Because of high urban noise, measurements are largely to be carried out at night using electromagnetic eVibe systems. This is a direct award based on a unique feature: only Faraday Geophysics operates suitable eVibe systems. Other capable companies may respond by 15.10.2026.
