Zielstellung des Vorhabens ist die weitere Mitwirkung an der Gremienarbeit in den für die kerntechnische Sicherheit relevanten Ausschüssen des Deutschen Instituts für Normung e.V. (DIN NA 062-07-43 AA), des Europäischen Komitees für Normung (CEN TC 430) und der Internationalen Organisation für Normung (ISO TC 85 SC 6 mit WG 3) zur Ent- und Weiterentwicklung von bautechnischen Normen. Die Mitarbeit auf internationaler Ebene ist erforderlich, um den internationalen Stand von Wissenschaft und Technik zu verfolgen und einen Beitrag zur Weiterentwicklung internationaler Standards und Leitlinien zu leisten. Mit dem Vorhaben sollen die deutsche Mitwirkung in der Regel- und Normenarbeit für die o. g. Fachgebieten fortgeführt und damit die deutsche Beteiligung an den dazugehörigen nationalen und internationalen Gremien sichergestellt werden. Das AtG schreibt vor, dass Vorsorge gegen Schäden durch die Errichtung und den Betrieb von kerntechnischen Anlagen nach dem Stand von Wissenschaft und Technik zu treffen ist. Ausgewählte Anforderungen aus dem deutschen kerntechnischen Regelwerk (Sicherheitsanforderungen an KKW (SiAnf), KTA-Regeln) und ausgewählte DIN-Normen sind in die internationale Normungsarbeit einzubringen, um weiterhin ein hohes Maß an Sicherheit und Qualität zu gewährleisten. Ausgewählte Anforderungen internationaler Regeln sollen wiederum in das deutsche Regelwerk übernommen werden, um vom internationalen Erfahrungsrückfluss zu profitieren. Vor Übernahme ausgewählter Anforderungen internationaler Standards und Normen in das deutsche Regelwerk sind diese auf Kompatibilität mit dem existierenden nationalen Regelwerk insbesondere mit den einschlägigen KTA-Regeln und den übergeordneten Sicherheitsanforderungen für Kernkraftwerke zu überprüfen. Dies bezieht sich zukünftig nicht alleine auf Kernkraftwerke, sondern auf alle weiteren kerntechnischen Anlagen (z. B. Forschungsreaktoren, Zwischenlager, Endlager). Mit dem Vorhaben sollen die Themenfelder Auslegung gegen Einwirkungen von außen (Seismik, Hochwasser, etc.) in die einschlägigen o.g. internationalen Organisationen und Gremien eingebracht werden, um Lücken im internationalen Regelwerk zu füllen. Insbesondere ist die KTA 2201.2 als noch fehlendes neues Projekt ISO 4917 Design of nuclear power plants against seismic events Part 2 Subground in für internationale Belange angepasster Form in TC 85 SC 6 WG 3 einzubringen und erfolgreich bis zur Publikation als ISO Standard zum Abschluss zu bringen.
