Summary

Machine-generated summary

WIEN ENERGIE GmbH intends, together with a technology partner, to plan, build and operate a wet-chemical plant for phosphorus recovery at the Simmeringer Haide site. Capacity is assumed at up to a target figure of 48,000 tonnes of sewage sludge ash per year, with a base capacity of at least 16,000 tonnes per year plus overcapacity, possibly with modular expansion. The Waste Incineration Ordinance 2024 requires recovery of at least 80 mass-percent of phosphorus from sewage sludge from 1 January 2033, so the project targets at least 82 mass-percent recovery from ash. The technology partner will be selected under the Federal Procurement Act 2018. This is a voluntary notice for market consultation, not a competition or award of a public contract; no contract is awarded. Interested companies should email prec@kwr.at to receive documents and return them by 20 November 2025.
