Description

The Telecom provider will provide optical spectrum capacity on an IRU basis over the PISCES submarine cable system between Ireland and Portugal with access to the spectral bandwidth and associated service delivery. The service enables high-capacity DWDM transmission and may include managed or unmanaged spectrum, supporting GÉANT’s backbone connectivity, resilience, and operational requirements. The assignment shall consist of the provision of access to approximately 20% of the available spectral bandwidth on a Dark Fibre Pair, including the delivery, enablement, and ongoing support of the associated services required for its operational use within the network. GÉANT shall observe a standstill period of 21 calendar days following notification of the award decision, during which the contract shall not be concluded; this period constitutes a peremptory time limit after which the right to initiate suspension proceedings lapses.
