Das Landesamt für Zentrale Polizeiliche Dienste Nordrhein-Westfalen beabsichtigt, im Zuge des vorliegenden Offenen Verfahrens einen Kauf von großen Drohnensystemen für das Kompetenzzentrum Drohnen der Polizei des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen ("KDPol"). Die Anforderungen an das Drohnensystem ergeben sich aus dem Technischen Leistungsverzeichnis (Kapitel B). Der Auftraggeber schätzt, dass ein Bedarf in Höhe von 870.000 für die entsprechenden Drohnensysteme benötigt wird. Das Dezernat 43 des LZPD NRW (Polizeifliegerstaffel NRW), hier das Kompetenzzentrum Drohnen der Polizei NRW (KDPol), nimmt die Aufgaben einer landesweiten Zentralstelle für den unbemannten Flugbetrieb der Polizei NRW wahr.
