Die Landeshauptstadt Potsdam beabsichtigt die Vergabe von Planungsleistungen von Freianlagen nach §§ 39 und 40 der HOAI 2021 für die Planung der teilweise brachliegenden öffentlichen Grünfläche Nuthepark (Teilfläche 2) zu einer klimaresilienten Natur- und Freizeitfläche mit Jugendbezug. Für die Planung und bauliche Umsetzung stehen Fördermittel des Bundesministerium für Wohnen, Stadtentwicklung und Bauwesen (BMWSB) sowie Eigenmittel der Landeshauptstadt Potsdam (LHP) zur Verfügung, die bis Ende 2028 umzusetzen und beim Zuwendungsgeber abzurechnen sind. Ziel der BBSR-Förderung (Bundesinstitut für Bau-, Stadt, und Raumforschung) ist die die Entwicklung exemplarischer Freiraumtypologien zur Klimaanpassung an 5 Standorten (Teilflächen) im Stadtgebiet der LHP, die als Vorbild für die Aufwertung und klimaangepasste Grünflächengestaltung vergleichbarer Freiräume in den verschiedenen Sozialräumen Potsdams dienen sollen. Dabei sollen bislang ungenutzte Potentiale durch Maßnahmen zur CO2-Bindung, Reduzierung der Hitzebelastung und Verbesserung des Wasserrückhalts aufzeigen, wie sich Klimaanpassung, Nutzungsqualität und -quantität dauerhaft steigern und verbinden lassen.
