The Berlin State Library (SBB), part of the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation, is procuring a framework agreement for digitisation services covering its monograph and journal collections (Lot 1). The supplier will scan library holdings in an object-friendly manner, create image files, and generate structure data and pagination for the Kitodo.Production workflow management system. Work is carried out in batches every four weeks, with collection at various SBB locations, processing by the contractor, and return of the items. The framework agreement runs for 2 years, extendable twice by 1 year each, with a calculated maximum of 62,400 volumes and 15,600,000 pages.
