Summary
Machine-generated summary
A market survey is being conducted for the supply of control electronics for a high-performance optical frequency reference, to be built as a flight model for operation on the International Space Station. Contracts will be awarded in two lots. The electronics form part of the DLR COMPASSO project, which will test optical clock and link technologies on the Bartolomeo platform of the ISS from 2027. The reference uses modulation transfer spectroscopy of molecular iodine and requires a specifically developed unit, the Iodine Control Electronics, including software, matched to the Iodine Spectroscopy Unit. Planned activities include completing the CDR phase, incorporating review feedback and implementing the detailed electrical design as printed circuit board layouts. The buyer highlights the tight schedule and asks parties to observe the deadlines.
