Summary

Machine-generated summary

Saarland, represented by the Ministry for the Interior, Building and Sport through Department IV of Saarland University Hospital (UKS), plans a new orthopaedic operating theatre on the UKS campus in Homburg. The works cover excavation, shoring, infrastructure and shell construction plus roofing works. The project provides around 1,022 m2 of usable floor space for operating theatres, induction, recovery and monitoring areas, anaesthesia, preparation zones, storage, offices and ancillary rooms in a 2.5-storey building with a basement, ground floor and upper floor. It is a solid construction with reinforced concrete ceilings, beams, walls and columns. The basement is waterproof concrete, the facade is ventilated and insulated, and the flat roof is a green retention roof with a PV system. Preparation is planned for early December 2026 and work starts around early January 2027.
