Dies umfasst eine vollständige Erneuerung der elektrischen Ausrüstung, einschließlich der Messsysteme, Motoren und der gesamten Maschineninstallation. Die URD ist für die Sicherung der Einsatzfähigkeit der Straßenbahnflotte des AG von zentraler Bedeutung. Aus diesem Grund sind sämtliche, mit der Modernisierung der URD verbundenen Tätigkeiten eng mit dem AG abzu-stimmen. Insbesondere ist die Zeitdauer, in der die URD dem AG aufgrund der Modernisierung nicht zur Verfügung steht auf ein Minimum zu begrenzen.
