Summary

Machine-generated summary

The Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg awarded a contract for design and structural planning services for the replacement of the Koehlbrand Bridge, covering the main span bridge over the Koehlbrand, a branch of the Elbe, and its ramps, as planning section TP03. The Koehlbrand Bridge, opened to traffic in 1974 and a landmark of Hamburg, is approaching the end of its service life and will be replaced by a new bridge with a clearance height of NHN +73.50 m, while the Haupthafenroute remains in operation during construction. The planning area spans about 5.0 km and includes the west junction, the main bridge with ramps and the east junction. The contract, procured by the Hamburg Port Authority AöR, represented by ReGe Hamburg Projekt-Realisierungsgesellschaft mbH, was awarded to the bidding consortium Ingenieurbüro Grassl GmbH, Schlaich Bergermann Partner SE and WTM Engineers GmbH, based in Hamburg, for a value of EUR 14,409,413.80.
