Description

Der Landkreis Ludwigsburg strebt die Neuerrichtung eines Stadtbahnnetzes an, welches neben der Kreisstadt Ludwigsburg auch mehrere Kommunen des Landkreises an den Schienenverkehr anbinden soll. Für das Stadtbahnnetz sollen neue Strecken gebaut werden, aber auch die im Personenverkehr stillgelegte Bahnstrecke Ludwigsburg-Markgröningen soll reaktiviert werden. Am Ludwigsburger Bahnhof ist im Zielzustand ein Umsteigepunkt zum Regional und S-Bahn-Verkehr vorgesehen, in Pattonville soll die Ludwigsburger Stadtbahn mit der Stuttgarter Straßenbahnen (SSB) verknüpft werden. Darüber hinaus sind selbstverständlich Verknüpfungen mit dem Busverkehr vorgesehen. Die Stammstrecke soll von Remseck-Aldingen über Pattonville und Ludwigsburg Bf nach Markgröningen führen. Zudem sind Zweigstrecken nach Oßweil Süd, Schlösslesfeld, Markgröningen Festplatz sowie Schwieberdingen-Nord (Bosch) vorgesehen.
