Summary

Machine-generated summary

The City of Peine drainage utility (Stadtentwaesserung Peine), a municipal in-house operator responsible for wastewater collection and treatment for Peine and surrounding municipalities, is seeking planning services for a new sludge digestion plant including ancillary facilities. The wastewater treatment plant in the Voehrum district serves 90,000 population equivalents and is operated in a single-shift system with on-call duty and a high degree of automation. The project replaces the ageing digestion plant and gas holder, plus replacement of surplus sludge thickening, aiming for far-reaching energy self-sufficiency in line with the amended municipal wastewater directive. Construction takes place on the plant's expansion area while operations continue, with a focus on energy-efficient, staff-optimised operation and improved site flow paths.
