Summary

Machine-generated summary

The municipality of Kaarst is procuring object planning services for the renovation of the Matthias-Claudius-School building and gymnasium and for the construction of a new extension for the after-school care programme (OGS). The school opened in 1964, with the gymnasium added in 1966 and an OGS extension in 2000. The existing fabric shows damaged and outdated facades, poor energy performance, old building services, no barrier-free access and outdated fire safety measures. The new extension will raise care capacity from 142 to 225 places. Funding comes from Rheinisches Revier subsidies, so completion is required by the end of 2029, and the award is subject to the granting of the grant.
