Summary

Machine-generated summary

The city of Augsburg is procuring general planning services for the construction of a fourth treatment stage at the Augsburg wastewater treatment plant, which has a design capacity of 800,000 population equivalents and is currently loaded at around 750,000 PE, including effluent from the UPM paper mill. The project will build a large-scale facility to eliminate anthropogenic micropollutants. The preferred design is ozonation combined with adsorption on a granular activated carbon filter. Services cover the distribution structure with bypass, ozonation with oxygen supply, intermediate pumping station, GAC filter, machine and operations building, excavation support and dewatering, roads and external works, and a medium-voltage switchgear installation with cable connections and retrofits.
