Description

Das BASE ist gemäß § 23d Satz 1 Nr. 8 AtG für die staatliche Verwahrung von Kernbrennstoff nach § 5 AtG zuständig. Im Rahmen dieser Zuständigkeit verwahrt das BASE eine sog. Neutronenquelle. Das Gebäude, in dem die Quelle derzeit verwahrt wird, soll demnächst aufgegeben werden. Mit Blick darauf muss das für die staatliche Verwahrung genutzte Gebäude geräumt und die Quelle an einen anderen Ort innerhalb Deutschlands verbracht werden. Für Durchführung des Abtransports (einschl. der Einholung der hierfür benötigten Erlaubnisse/Genehmigungen) benötigt das BASE die Unterstützung durch einen entsprechend qualifizierten Dienstleister.
