Description

Es wurde der Austausch des Primärstorage der FernUniversität in Hagen, inkl. Einbau und Einrichtung laut Leistungsbeschreibung ausgeschrieben. Die Fernuniversität wollte den zurzeit eingesetzten Primärstorage des zentralen IT-Dienstleisters im Zentrum für Digitalisierung und IT (ZDI) ersetzen. Hierfür wurde ein hybrides System benötigt, welches sowohl Blockstorage als auch Filestorage bot. Dieses System musste hochverfügbar, performant und hochgradig automatisiert sein, um in einem Fehlerfall automatisch schwenken zu können. Ebenso Bestandteil dieser Ausschreibung war es, die Verfügbarkeit zu jeder Zeit zu gewährleisten, ein leistungsstarkes System, welches die Bereitstellung der wichtigsten Dienste auch nach einem Totalausfall des Primärstorages sicherstellt und so eine schnelle Wiederherstellung der Systeme ermöglichte.
