The town of Ingelfingen is procuring construction-accompanying planning and engineering services and construction works for the creation of broadband network infrastructure. The town received a Gigabit 2.0 funding decision in 2025 for the federal operator model with co-financing by the state of Baden-Wuerttemberg, so construction must start by 28.04.2027 at the latest. A market survey identified 785 eligible address points. The master plan foresees building around 41,000 route metres, installing 28 additional distribution points and 9 points of presence. In addition, ducts and/or cables are to be pulled into around 19,000 metres of existing cable protection pipe routes, and cables into about 3,500 metres of existing multi-pipe ducts. An adapted structure planning prepared to the federal material concept is available.
