Summary

Machine-generated summary

DB InfraGO AG, business area Fahrweg (Bukr 16), has awarded a contract for construction works on the Hanau-Gelnhausen rail line. The works cover the construction of the Kinzig flood channel in Gelnhausen, compensating for retention space lost through the four-track expansion of lines 3600/3670 between Hanau and Gelnhausen. The finished channel will hold about 36,000 m3 of water over an area of about 34,200 m2, with excavation depths of about 1.00 to 1.80 m. Seeding along the channel edges will stabilise the soil. The works also affect the bridge on DB line 3700 Giesen-Gelnhausen, where existing paving will be replaced with new scour protection. The contract was awarded on 2025-04-14.
