Auf dem Areal der ehemaligen Sendeanlage am Stadtrand von Jülich und unmittelbarer Nähe zum Campus der FH Aachen entsteht derzeit ein Wissenschaftspark und innovatives Gewerbegebiet mit rd. 52 ha Fläche entstehen (im Folgenden: „Brainergy Park Jülich“). Der AG hat die Aufgabe, die Liegenschaften im Brainergy Park mit Wärme, Kälte sowie Energiedienstleistungen zu versorgen. Der AG plant die Errichtung einer Energiezentrale. Die Energieversorgung (Wärme/Kälte) des Low-Exergy-Netzes (LE-Netz) im Brainergy-Park soll über reversible Wärmepumpen, Wärme-/Kältespeicher, Elektrokessel und Abwärmeprozesse realisiert werden. Das LE-Netz soll in Betrieb genommen werden, bevor die Energiezentrale fertig gestellt wird. Die provisorische Wärme- und Kälteversorgung im Bauabschnitt 1 ist bereits vergeben. (Los 2 und 3). Gegenstand dieses Vergabeverfahrens sind Leistungen des Bauabschnitts 2 - finale Wärme- und Kälteversorgung - der Verfahrenstechnik für die Errichtung der Energiezentrale.
