The Bayreuther Festspiele GmbH is procuring works to renovate and upgrade the stage machinery of its festival theatre. The project is split into two construction phases, with phase 1 to be completed by March 2027 before the festival rehearsals begin and phase 2 starting in autumn 2027. Phase 1 covers demolition and safety works, upgrading of the under-stage machinery including a hydraulic lifting system with 3 trapdoors, 1 performers lift and 2 double-deck podiums, steel structures, over-stage machinery with point hoists, lighting bars and curtain systems, electrical SIL 3 controls, cabling and safety equipment.
