GEM Crailo B.V. ontwikkelt een oud defensieterrein tot Buurtschap Crailo voor wonen en bedrijvigheid. Een belangrijk onderdeel is het energieconcept Future Grid Crailo: een all-electric systeem waarin duurzame energie voor woningen, bedrijven en elektrisch (deel)vervoer binnen de wijk wordt opgewekt en optimaal benut om CO2-uitstoot te minimaliseren en netfluctuaties te beperken. De FGC Openbare delen bestaan uit publieke PV-panelen (solar carports en hubs), laadpalen en een wijkbatterij. GEM Crailo zoekt een marktpartij of samenwerkingsverband om deze openbare onderdelen te realiseren en te opereren. Hiervoor wordt met de winnende inschrijver een DBMO-overeenkomst beoogd, waarbij GEM Crailo voorlopig eigendom en exploitatierisico’s houdt met het oog op een latere overdracht aan de lokale energiegemeenschap
