The Federal Office for Radiation Protection is procuring a survey and study on the frequency and delivery of radiotherapy in Germany. Under Section 125(3) of the Radiation Protection Ordinance, the authority must determine the medical radiation exposure of the population and selected population groups at least every two years. Previous surveys focused on diagnostic uses of radiation. Data on radiotherapy were first collected in a departmental research project, and this contract is to update that data and carry out more in-depth analysis in selected areas.
