Description

Unite Procurement UK Limited (part of Unite Holding SE), on behalf of the Ministry of Defence, is seeking suppliers to join the Unite Procurement Platform to support the Supply of Bayonet Training Dummies. The procurement covers; The Ministry of Defence requires robust, safe and realistic bayonet training dummies to support Phase 1 Basic Training establishments. Two types of equipment are required: -Ground Mounted Bayonet Dummies - stable, fixed installations for individual and collective bayonet assault drills - Hook Mounted Suspended Bayonet Dummies - suspended targets providing dynamic training scenarios The equipment shall be suitable for use in indoor and outdoor training environments, withstand intensive daily use by recruits, and support delivery of the Combat Bayonet Fighting syllabus. Training dummies must replicate human torso dimensions, provide realistic target areas for thrusting and striking, and minimise damage to training rifles and bayonet equipment. Equipment must be weather resistant, UV resistant, require minimal maintenance, and remain serviceable following repeated impact by training rifles fitted with authorised training bayonets. The dummies shall contain no exposed sharp edges, present no snagging hazards, and be manufactured from non-toxic materials in compliance with UK health and safety legislation.
