Rajakuitu Oy hankkii tällä tarjouspyynnöllä valokaapeliverkon valokaapeleita ja mikroputkiratkaisua. Valokuituverkon rakentaminen toteutetaan viranomaisen suositusten mukaan 1000/1000Mbit/s valokuituverkkona. Valokaapeliverkko täyttää kaikilta osin EU:n maaseuturahaston vaatimukset ja viestintäviraston teknisistä määräyksistä johtuvat vaatimukset. Parikkalan ja Rautjärven valokaapeliverkon hankealueille on haettu tukia EU:n maaseuturahaston tukea Kaakkois-Suomen elinvoimakeskukselta. Jos Kaakkois-Suomen elinvoimakeskus ei hyväksy molempia hakemuksia, niin valokaapeleita ja mikroputkia ei hankita.
