Puolustusvoimien logistiikkalaitoksen esikunta kilpailuttaa parikaapelimateriaalin puitesopimuksen. Hankittavat tuotteet ovat kuparisen kenttäparikaapelin tyhjiä keloja, kelojen kantolaitteita ja kuljetuskehikoita. Tuotteiden yksityiskohdat ja tekniset vaatimukset kerrottu hankinnan kohteen kriteereissä sekä liitteessä 1 ja 2. Tuotteita tullaan käyttämään sekä sisätiloissa että ulkona. Kuljetuksen aikana tuotteisiin tulee kohdistumaan tärinää ja kolhuja. Tuotteiden suunniteltu käyttöikä on 5 - 10 vuotta. Rauhanajan käyttö on lähinnä koulutuskäyttöä. Sen arvioidaan olevan noin 2-5 kertaa vuodessa laajamittaisissa harjoituksissa ja yli 10 kertaa vuodessa pienimuotoisissa harjoituksissa.
